Impacted teeth have to be removed surgically when they are in a position to cause pain, infection, damage to neighboring tissues or in the presence of pathology detected clinically and radiologically in the area where they are located. If cysts and tumors are detected clinically and radiologically in the jawbone and soft tissues, they should be surgically removed as they will cause damage to the adjacent anatomical structures of the jawbone.<\/p>\n<\/div>

In the presence of bone irregularity and\/or abnormally developed soft tissues before prosthesis construction in areas where tooth extraction was performed for any reason; existing bone disorder should be eliminated and\/or abnormally developed soft tissues should be removed. Lesions with a size not exceeding 1\/3 of the tooth root, which are formed as a result of infection at the root tips of the teeth, should be removed with a procedure called \u201croot tip resection\u201d after the decision to keep the tooth in the mouth.<\/p>\n<\/div>

The above-mentioned procedures can usually be performed under local anesthesia conscious sedation or, if necessary, under general anesthesia.
